Kitchen Renovations
for Dr. Laux

The decision to have Fulford Home Remodeling renovate this kitchen was driven by the desire to have the kitchen area open to the living room. So after inspecting the houses structure, a “3-D” design was agreed upon which removed the dividing wall between these rooms, combining the kitchen and living room into one large area. The new design also included a custom desk area, a large island with seating, a separate food preparation sink, and the relocation & addition of multiple stainless steel appliances. A large emphasis was put on lighting which included; recessed can lights, under-cabinet puck lights, and island pendant lighting. A custom tile backsplash, Black Pearl granite countertops, and White Oak hardwood floors provided the finishing touches for this stunning kitchen remodel.

Major Renovations
for Mr. Biava

With the earlier addition of an in-ground swimming pool, Mr. Biava contacted Fulford Home Remodeling to design an addition and living area that would co-ordinate with the new pool area. During the “3-D” design phase, a large emphasis was put on outdoor entertaining, which was the driving force behind this 20' x 14' sunroom addition with a pool bathroom. The bay window and a section of the rear wall were removed, and support headers were installed to open the new sunroom into the kitchen. The kitchen was totally redesigned, with Kitchen Craft maple cabinetry, Corian solid surface countertops, under-cabinet lighting, stainless steel appliances, and Dura-Ceramic flooring. The existing master bathroom was also redesigned and updated, the washer and dryer were relocated to the new addition, the master bedroom walls and hallway reconfigured, and an Anderson patio door was installed in the master bedroom, allowing access to the pool area. This dynamic whole house remodel greatly improved the livability and value of this home, all resulting in a “great fit” for Fulford & Mr. Biava.

Expanding Living Space
for the Pecks

The Peck's contracted Fulford Home Remodeling looking for ideas on expanding their existing living space. Due to the hot southern exposure, their deck was virtually unusable in the summer, so a hearth room addition seemed like a good “fit”. The existing deck system, bay walls and roof were removed, a crawlspace foundation was installed, and a floor system, walls, and roof system were constructed, creating a 295 sq. ft. addition. An abundance of energy efficient windows provide plenty of natural light for the kitchen and breakfast nook areas. Additional features include a small deck and stairway leading to the pool area, a cathedral ceiling, a direct vent gas fireplace, a recessed niche for a plasma TV and components, and tiger wood hardwood flooring. This addition greatly added to the livability and value of this home, resulting in a “great fit”.

Major Renovations
for the Klatts

The need for additional living space led to the construction of a 750 sq. ft. great room, master bedroom and bath addition onto the rear of this Belleville home. The kitchen and great room were combined by removing the existing rear kitchen wall, and the kitchen was tastefully redone using white cabinetry, Corian counter tops, custom lighting, and ceramic tile flooring. The great room with its cathedral ceiling and abundance of windows, along with the spacious master bedroom, bath, and walk-in closet added greatly to the quality of the living and to the value of this home. It's no surprise that this project won 1st place in the HBA 2001 Remodelors of Distinction Award.

New Kitchen for
the Hesdras

The Hesdra's kitchen was like most 70's style kitchens; dark cabinetry, outdated appliances and inadequate lighting. They called Fulford Home Remodeling for help, and a new design was created that fit all of their needs and more. Work began with the removal of their cabinetry, appliances, and flooring and paneling. A structural dividing wall was removed, opening up the kitchen and breakfast room to the living room, and a large closet was converted into a half bath. The entire kitchen was rewired, with an emphasis put on lighting that included recessed cans, under cabinet and pendant lights. All walls and ceilings were re-plastered, and hardwood flooring was installed through-out the kitchen, breakfast room, and living room. Cherry cabinetry, granite countertops, and stainless appliances provided the finishing touches for this showcase kitchen, which greatly improved the value of this home, making cooking “fun" for the Hesdra's.

Master Bathroom Extension & Remodel for the Kelseys

The Kelsey's decision to remodel their 1920's master bathroom was driven by the desire for a larger shower, soaking tub, and vanity seating area with storage. It was communicated to Fulford's team that the old home “charm” had to stay, but more space and new finishes where needed to create an inviting and open feel. Fulford's master plan included completely “gutting” the existing bathroom and reutilizing an 8' by 7'6” space from an adjacent seating area; this gave the extra space needed for the new claw-foot tub, walk-in shower, and vanity seating area with storage. The remaining space in the large seating area was converted into a baby's room and crib area for the Kelsey's very own family addition. Coordinating bathroom faucets, accessories, and bathroom fixtures where just a few of the new bathroom features. Other features included; new wainscoting, multiple lighting options, marble “basket-weave” tile floors, new energy efficient “Simonton” windows, and a new walk-in shower complete with “glossy” subway-tiles and a rain-can shower head. This bathroom renovation created a well-designed bathroom custom-tailored to the customer's needs, all while transforming the old out-dated bathroom into a truly timeless bathroom remodel.

Basement Finish
for the Fittings

After the earlier purchase of a Fulford home in Belleville, IL, these clients contacted Fulford Home Remodeling to expand their home using the unfinished space in their basement. The client's ideas and dreams were brought to life with Fulford's initial 3D virtual design that included room for the new pool table, a ¾ bathroom, kids play area, custom kitchen-sized bar, and a theater room complete with a surround sound system, component niches, a coffered ceiling, and an arched opening. Custom bar amenities included “rustic-alder” cabinets, granite countertops, bar-height seating for four, full kitchen appliances, glass-display cabinet doors, and a stem glass holder above the stainless steel sink. Other basement features included multiple lighting options, “Alterna” tile floors, an aluminum open-baluster stair system, and round colonial columns to cover existing support posts. A great design, attention to detail, and final finishes ensured that this lower level will be enjoyed by many friends and family for years to come.

Master Bathroom Renovation
for the Harens

The Haren's decision to remodel their Belleville, IL Master Bathroom was an easy one. With polished brass fixtures, vinyl flooring, cultured marble, and the want for a spacious “door-less” shower, it was time for an update. The process began by creating a new bathroom layout and 3D virtual drawings that helped them visualize what the finished project would actually look like. When construction began, the bathroom was “gutted”, the corner tub deleted, and a huge walk-in shower was created. Features in this luxurious bathroom were numerous, which included a large custom vanity unit with glass-door tower cabinet, a “Cambria” quartz top with under-mount porcelain bowls and Delta faucets, a custom window surround with quartz bench seat below, illuminated mirrors, a porcelain ceramic tiled shower with corner bench seat and “Carerra-Marble” look recessed tile, recessed can lighting, and Dura-Ceramic flooring. This stunning Master Suite renovation added both value and livability to the Haren home, resulting in a very happy client.
